Hmong International New Year Foundation, Inc.


Eligibility

To apply, you must meet the following qualifications:
  • Female from birth
  • Born before December 26, 1992
  • At least one biological parent is Hmong
  • Single and never married, both culturally and legally
  • Not pregnant before the pageant (or during reign, if contestant should place)
  • Speak fluently and understand Hmong and English
  • Not an immediate family member or affiliate of HINY & Board of Directors
  • Exempt of criminal history and records
  • Nominated by an organization/business or legal identity

Entry Procedures

Each contestant and the sponsor(s) must:

  1. Submit application to the Hmong International New Year office no later than December 15, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
  2. Attach two (3 x 5 or 4 x 6) varied pictures of the contestant. Pictures must show the contestant’s face and positively identify the contestant.
  3. Submit a copy of contestant's current legal identification card that displays the contestant’s face and date of birth. i.e. driver’s license or passport
  4. Provide a biography on the contestant, detailing her educational backgrounds, accomplishments, hobbies, aspirations, etc.
