Because the majority of Hmong living in the United States came from Laos, the celebration in the United States takes similarity to that in Laos, with the following adaptations:
• Hmong in the US no longer have sporting events such as cock fighting, bull fighting, kicking matches, etc.; soccer, basketball, takrow, volleyball, and even golf became the normal sports for Hmong in the US.
