HMONG CHINA

The Hmong new year celebration in China usually takes place in February. This is because the Hmong of China go by the lunar calendar in congruent with the Chinese nation.

Similar to Hmong in all parts of the world, the celebration in China begins with hu plig (soul calling) and noj tsiab noj txhu (feasting). A distinct difference between the Hmong of China and Hmong of all other countries is that the Hmong in China do not pov pob (ball toss).
